Hi, I’m Emily. Let me share a little about myself…

I have been designing since 2003, when I used to create concert fliers and operated a website called Bands:Underrated that showcased musical acts and let people stream their music online (remember the days before Facebook, MySpace, etc?). It was a lot of fun and some of the best memories I have are from that part of my life. It’s even how I met my wonderful husband, who is a musician. I sure am glad I followed my creative vision!

I graduated from Davis College in 2010, earning an Applied Business degree with a major in Graphic Design. As an honor student, I studied a variety of subjects including Business, Communications, Marketing, Print Production, Digital Photography, Color Principles, lllustration, Publication Design and much more. Getting my education really helped me find myself and shape who I am as a photographer & designer. I still consider myself a student as I am always learning… it is my favorite thing to do!

Just a few months after finishing school, my husband and I welcomed our first little miracle, our daughter, Zoe (that’s her in the picture with me. Isn’t she lovely?). She was born in December of 2010. She amazes me everyday and is a true joy to our lives. Our crazy, fast-paced lives.

I photographed my first wedding back in 2007, free of charge, with a borrowed camera. I now have many weddings under my belt (as well as my own camera, woo hoo!), and various other types of photography including Band/Promotional photos, Senior pictures, Families, Children (from newborn to school-age), and other various Alternative Portraiture. I am up for anything, really, as long as it helps someone showcase their personality and allows me practice my art.
